Tuesday 29 September | 8:30am - 12:30pm | Voyage Through the Solar System
- Learn about planets, solar system and our moon! How about we pack for the moon?
Tuesday 29 September | 7:00pm - 9:00pm | Family Stargazing: Aboriginal Astronomy by Peter Swanton
Wednesday 30 September | 8:30am - 12:30pm | Mission Space
- Do you want to create your own rocket and shoot for the space?
Thursday 1 October | 8:30am - 4:00pm | Beyond Stromlo Excursion: GeoScience and Planetarium
- Learn about Snakes up in the observatory, then a tour to GeoScience Australia, and visit the one and only Planetarium in Canberra
Tuesday 6 October | 8:30am - 12:30pm | 100 years of Stromlo
- Scanvenger hunt around Stromlo, learn about the history and the observatory!
Wednesday 7 October | 8:30am - 12:30pm | Robot Coding Challenge
- Challenge yourself with some coding and robotics! Will you manage to make the robot move?
Thursday 8 October | 8:30am - 12:30pm | Wind turbine goes spinning!
- Build your own wind turbines and test it out!

Important Notes
- Parents must sign children in and out at the start and end of each session. Any changes to pick-up arrangements must be communicated to staff as soon as possible.
- All staff hold current WWVP and First Aid qualifications.
- The programme may be adjusted for weather or partner availability. Final details will be confirmed in your welcome email.
- Family Stargazing sessions are subject to weather conditions. We reserve the right to cancel, reschedule, offer a refund, or adjust the format of the session if weather does not permit. We will notify all registered participants on the morning of the event.
